Question
What is the punishment for a man who performs his Fardh Salaat at home although there is a nearby Musjid? This man has no valid reason for not going to the Musjid.
Answer
In a genuine Islamic state, males who absent themselves from Jamaat Salaat in the Musjid without valid Shar'i reason will be arrested, and if necessary, whipped. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) had once intended to burn down the houses of such men.
