Question
During the last portion of Ramadhaan, Tahajjud is performed in Jamaat in the Musjid. It is called shabeenah. Is this Sunnat?
Answer
It is bid'ah. According to the Hanafi Math-hab, Tahajjud or any other Nafl is not permissible in Jamaat at any time of the year. The practice is not allowed in terms of the Hanafi Mathhab.
