What is the ruling regarding singing the national anthem and standing when it is sung. Also, the hands are placed on the chest.
Answer
Singing the national anthem and standing when singing it are not permissible. Placing the hands on the chest similar to the posture adopted in Salaat is also haraam. It is akin to kufr.
