Question
Recently a family member had an Aqeeqah feast. About 150 people attended. I too was invited. However, due to the mixed feast I did not attend. Was I correct?
Answer
Aqeeqah is not a custom of feasting. The meat should be distributed preferably in the same way as Qur'baani meat is distributed. You acted correctly by abstaining from a haraam feast.
