What will be the consequences of a person or an institution that charges to read or make hifz of the Quran, on the day of Qiyamah? There are many immigrant, Islamic centers and African-American Masjids that charge $100-$500 monthly. What is the consequences of this on the Day of Qiyamah?
Answer
The consequence will be the calamity of the Fire of Jahannam. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayh wasallam) said: "Recite the Qur'aan. Do not eat by means of it." That is: Do not sell the Qur'aan (its recitation) for a miserable price.
