Which duas should be recited to control and subdue the evil desires of the nafs?

Dua is not the solution for controlling the nafs. The method is mujaahadah, that is, to apply pressure on yourself and to restrain the nafs from its evil dictates. It is a continuous struggle. Reflect on Maut, Qabr and the Aakhrat. Reflect on the Presence of Allah Ta'ala and the two Recording Angels. Then make dua supplicating to Allah Ta'ala to guide and protect you. Supplicate in your own language for the aid of Allah Ta'ala.
