I am a female who has lost most of her hair. I am in much depression over this balding. Is it permissible to wear a wig?
Answer
There is no need for depression. Depression will not cure the problem. Make dua and be satisfied with the trial. Everyone has his/her trial in different forms.
It is perhaps a punishment of Allah Ta'ala for you. Repent and increase Istighfaar. If the calamity causes you to come nearer to Allah Ta'ala, then know that it is a trial which is cleansing you from your sins and bringing you closer to Allah Ta'ala. A wig is haraam. Keep your head well covered with a burqah.
