Question
In the Haram Shareef of Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawwarah one can tune into a FM Station on the radio to listen to the Jumuah Khutbah in one of the few languages, e.g. English, Urdu, etc., simultaneously while the Khutbah is being recited. Is this permissible?
Answer
It is not permissible to listen to the Khutbah in another language simultaneously while the Khutbah is in progress. The new, bid'ah system which they have introduced in the Haram Shareef is haraam.
