'Little time' in the context is ambiguous. Abandoning Sunnatul Muakkadah Salaat is sinful and punishable. In most cases 'little time' is a nafsaani hallucination. There is ample time for all types of nonsense and futility, but for ibaadat the nafs and shaitaan present many hallucinations.
