Question
A fishmonger sells all sorts of sea animals such as crabs, crayfish, shrimps, etc. Is it permissible to buy fish from him?
Answer
It is permissible to buy fish from the fishmonger. Although all sea animals are haraam for Hanafis, they are paak (taahir), hence the fish will not be rendered impure if mixed with other sea animals as you have explained. It will suffice to wash the fish.
