Is it permissible for a female to teach maths at a girls secular school?

Question

Is it permissible for a female to teach maths at a girls secular school? The parents insist that she takes up the teaching post.

Answer

Firstly, it is not permissible for girls to attend secular school. They have to remain at home. It is thus not permissible for a woman to teach any secular subjects at a public school. The parents have no right to compel their daughter to work. Such parents are cruel and guilty of a grave haraam act. It is the obligation of the father to maintain the daughter. In this case, the daughter should not obey the haraam instructions of her parents.
