Question
A family member invited me for a meal. I do not eat Sanha-approved chickens and meat. If I refuse the invitation, it will sour family ties. What should I do in this case?
Answer
What will you do if the relative serves dog meat or pork? Will you devour the filth for the sake of maintaining hallucinatory family ties? Souring 'family ties' for Allah's Sake is a great act of Ibaadat. You should ask the family member regarding the meat/chickens which will be served at the meal. Inform them that you do not consume Sanha approved carrion meat and chickens. If Sanha approved meat/chicken is served then you will be justified for not attending the function. If he becomes annoyed, it is no sin on you.
