Question
A product of a Muslim businessman has a branded name which is exclusively for his product. He had initiated this particular name. After 15 years, another Muslim businessman desires to appropriate this branded name for a similar product. Is it permissible?
Answer
It is not permissible for someone else to 'steal' the brand name of another person. It is dishonesty and deception.
