Question
Is it incumbent to respond to all the Athaans of several Musjids in an area? After responding to one Athaan, will it be permissible to engage in speaking while the other Athaans are being called?
Answer
Responding to only one Athaan is sufficient. If one has already responded to the first Athaan, then one may eat, speak, etc. when the Athaan in another Musjid is being proclaimed.
