Question
A person is unable to stand for Salaat. Although he can sit on the floor, he performs Salaat sitting in a chair. Is his Salaat valid?
Answer
If he is able to sit on the floor for Namaaz, then it is not permissible to sit on a chair. A chair is permissible only for such sick persons who are unable to sit on the floor. His Salaat on a chair is not valid.
