When discussing marital problems with another man, is it permissible for the wife to be present?

It is not permissible for the wife to be in the presence of another man when discussing her marital problems, etc. even if the man is an Aalim, and even if her husband is present. It is worse if he is a layman. In cases that the Shariah permits the presence of the woman, it is Waajib to erect a screen to separate the female from the sight of the males.
