Question
I am a member of the Tabligh Jamaat. It is expected not to perform Awwaabeen Salaat when there is a bayaan. One is expected to sit in the bayaan. It is said that there is more reward sitting in the bayaan than performing Awwaabeen. What should I do?
Answer
Awwaabeen is Sunnah. The bayaan is not Sunnah. It is only permissible. Perform first your Sunnah, then join the bayaan, and ignore the criticism.
