Salafis say that it is haraam for a married woman to assume the surname of her husband. Is this correct?
Answer
The arguments of the Salafis are specious, in fact spurious. There is no falsehood and deception attached to a married woman assuming the surname of her husband. It is permissible for a married woman to adopt her husband's surname.
