In the Janaazah Salaat, the Imaam recited only three Takbirs. Was the Salaat valid?
Answer
Four Takbeers are Fardh in Janaazah Salaat. The Imaam's Janaazah Salaat and that of all the muqtadis who had followed him in reciting only three Takbeers, is invalid. The Salaat of those who had recited four Takbeers is valid. If everyone had recited only three Takbirs, then there was the imperative need to repeat the Salaat.
