Is it permissible to swim in a public pool used by all and sundry when no one is around. In the mornings no one uses this pool. May I swim in it?
Answer
It is not permissible to swim in the same pool in which kuffaar also swim even if they do not swim the same time. The najaasat (physical and spiritual) of the kuffaar and even Muslim fussaaq and fujjaar, has a bad effect on the Muslim's spirituality.
