Some darul ulooms encourage their students to pursue higher secular studies. Please comment.
Answer
Some 'darul ulooms' are darul jahals (abodes of ignorance), hence they encourage their students to pursue haraam. They are signs of Qiyaamah. They use the Deen to acquire the dunya. Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Recite the
Qur'aan. Do not eat by means of the Qur'aan." That is: Do not use the Qur'aan – the Deen – for worldly motives and objectives.
