The mufti should be asked if Hadhrat Jibraeel (alayhis salaam) had brought Wahi to inform him that Allah Ta'ala will pose the question on the Day of Qiyaamah. His statement is the effect of ghulu' which is in turn the effect of takabbur. While explaining the Deen to non-Muslims is meritorious, to claim what the maajin fellow said is a slander uttered in the Name of Allah Ta'ala. His statement comes within the purview of the aayat: "Verily shaitaan instructs you with evil and immorality and that you fabricate about Allah what you know not."
