Question
My wife's relatives gave her about 2 kgs of buck meat. The buck was first shot and before it could breathe its last moments, Thabah was done. My wife is full of doubt. She refuses to consume the meat, saying: 'Yes, if these were desperate times or if exceptional circumstances existed then it would be OK. But presently, meat is readily available. No one is starving. So she says that why should we eat this meat when the animal was shot first. Please comment.
Answer
We are in agreement with the sagacious view expressed by your wife. Give the meat to some non-Muslims. Hunting for sport is not permissible. Food acquired by haraam means should be shunned.
