While jinn can assume the form of a cat whether black or any colour, it does not follow that all black cats are jinn. The idea that black cats are jinn is erroneous and baseless. The meaning of a black dog being a shaitaan is that shaitaan loves black dogs. He is usually with such dogs. It does not mean that every black dog is literally a shaitaan.
