Some bid'ati grave-worshipping molvis are displaying hairs of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam).

Question

Some bid'ati grave-worshipping molvis are displaying hairs of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). Are these hairs authentic?

Answer

During the Farewell Hajj, Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) did distribute his hair to the Sahaabah. Numerous Sahaabah treasured the mubaarak hairs and it was passed on from generation to generation. Some Bid'atis have taken haraam advantage of this fact and are displaying fake hairs which they ascribe to the hair of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). Since it is not possible to know whether the hair which happens to be in the possession of a particular person is genuine or not, it is best to maintain silence, and not to visit the place if the person displaying the hair is a bid'ati as is the one in the picture you have sent.
