Here in the prison in the U.S.A. all the inmates are given a gift bag of a variety of foods at Christmas time. Many of the items are halaal. Is it permissible for Muslim prisoners to accept these gift bags? Some say that it is not permissible.
Answer
It is permissible to accept the gift bags from the prison. Those who say that it is not permissible are in error.
