Is a 42 year old man a mahram for the daughters of his wife by a previous marriage? They are 16 and 12 years old.
Answer
Even an 80 year old male is not a mahram for his wife's daughters from a previous marriage whether they are 16 years, 12 years or 60 years. The prohibition is more emphasized if the man is only 42 years old. The element of fitnah is great.
