Question
When a child outgrows clothing and toys, is it permissible for the parents to give these items away or give to a smaller child?
Answer
If the toys and clothes were given into the ownership of the child, and not as a loan, then you have to buy them for a fair price and keep the money in trust for the child or spend it on his needs. You may not take it for free nor give the child's belongings away.
