Is shaving the beard a major sin?

All sins are practically major and bring about the Wrath of Allah Ta'ala. The division of sin into 'major' and 'minor' categories is of technical significance. Whoever regards a sin to be minor as far as practical implementation is concerned, thinks that Allah Ta'ala is insignificant - Nauthubillaah! One who shaves his beard is a vile, flagrant, insolent, major sinner.
