Question
At our Musjid, the Muath-thin before beginning the Athaan, recites Innallaahu …(the Qur'aanic verse). In many Musjids this is not the practice. What is the correct Sunnah practice?
Answer
It is bid'ah for the Muath-thin to recite innallaah wa……before commencing the Athaan. It is not permissible to add to the Sunnah practice of the Athaan.
