A man says that although he understands that the chickens certified by SANHA are haraam, he still continues eating because of addiction.

Question

A man says that although he understands that the chickens certified by SANHA are haraam, he still continues eating because of addiction. He wants to know if it is permissible to recite Bismillaah when eating this chicken.

Answer

SANHA certifies haraam carrion chickens. Eating carrion is haraam and a major sin. The only time when it will be permissible to eat haraam food is when there is absolutely no halaal food available and fear of death compels one to devour the carrion. But it is not permissible to say 'Bismillaah' when eating such certified carrion filth. Reciting Bismillaah when eating SANHA or MJC, etc. certified carrion is tantamount to kufr.
