Is there any relationship between wasaawis (shaitaani thoughts) and sins?
Answer
Most certainly there is a strong relationship between evil deeds and shaitaani waswasah. Evil deeds erode the spiritual fibre and shaitaan settles in the heart of the one whose heart is bereft of spirituality. When the mind and heart are filled with the filth of sin, he becomes fertile ground for satanic manipulation. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Verily, shaitaan is saddled on the heart of man. When he (man) engages in Thikr, shaitaan flees. When he is ghaafil (oblivious of Thikr), shaitaan casts waswasah in him."
