Working as an auditor per se is permissible. However, there are other factors to be taken into consideration. Each case will have a different ruling. For example, it will not be permissible to work as an auditor for a bank or a liquor company, nor will it be permissible for a female auditor to work in an environment in which her purdah/Hijaab is violated.
